Katie Stauffer is a dedicated lawyer with a broad background. As a part of the Whitfield, Bryson & Mason LLP team, Katie works closely with clients to understand their needs and their situations so she can best protect their rights and achieve a successful outcome.
Katie attended the University of Arkansas where she was a 4 year scholarship athlete as a member of the university’s soccer program. While at Arkansas, Katie was selected to the SEC Good Works Team. She was also elected to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), an NCAA-mandated committee that includes male and female student athletes who review policy issues and make decisions on behalf of their fellow athletes. Katie was chosen as the female athletic representative from the University of Arkansas to attend a meeting at SEC Headquarters, Atlanta, Georgia, for discussion of issues critical to student athletes across the region. Katie was also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and was recognized as the “Colgate Champion of Character” out of all female Arkansas Razorback athletes. Katie was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll all four years of her studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Katie began her legal career while working towards her law degree at The University of Oklahoma College of Law. Katie worked at Davis Dirickson, PLLC where she researched various areas of law, prepared legal documents, assisted the firm’s attorneys and helped the firm obtain new clients. While still in law school, Katie also served as a summer clerk for the Honorable Chief District Judge Gregory Frizzell. In this role, Katie was responsible for creating various motions and responding to pleadings.
Katie is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division. Additionally, Katie is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women.
