Riggs Park Underground Storage Tank Litigation

Whitfield Bryson & Mason attorneys represented owners of more than one hundred homes located in Riggs Park, a Washington, D.C. neighborhood in litigation against Chevron USA. The plaintiffs alleged that Chevron and other owners and operators of a neighboring gas station were responsible for a massive underground gasoline leak. The parties reached an agreement to settle the case for approximately $6.2 million in August 2008.

Patuxent River Oil Spill

Whitfield Bryson & Mason attorneys recovered $2.25 million for commercial fisherman and homeowners for damages caused by an oil spill that discharged approximately 111,000 gallons of oil into the Patuxent River in Maryland in April 2000. This was the largest oil spill in the history of Maryland.
